Judging by numbers only, you can tell that you are in "Ski Heaven".
However, while numbers are of interest to us, they are no substitute
for experience. As with many of the destinations we offer we have
actually scouted the place and spent time at the resort making sure we
could recommend it. No doubt about it; we feel safe in our choice and
know you will too.
One big plus of the resort is that businesses are professionally
run and most everyone seems to speak English.
Plenty of skiing for all levels can be had in l'Espace Killy!
From the glacier "de la Grande Motte" at 3656m (12,000') of altitude
down to the village of Breviere at 1550m (5,100') the domain Espace Killy
unrolls its 200 miles of marked trails. You can create an almost infinite
number of itineraries. Whether you want to ski in the sun all day or
prefer the thick white powder substance of the north slopes, l'Espace
Killy has it all.
If snowboarding is what you're after, you have picked the appropriate
resort. Tignes offers the largest Snowpark in Europe; 7900' long, 2
half-pipes (one over 650' in length), music, lights... everything you
could ask for
In order for you to enjoy this "Skiers Paradise", l'Espace Killy counts
100 ski lifts which can move about 150,000 skiers per hour!!!
The "funiculaire de la Grande Motte" (far left picture) will take you
from an altitude of 6,900' to 10,000' in just under 6 minutes. No time
wasted on lifts; you're time is better used on the slopes!
Traveling with children? The famous ESF (Ecole du Ski Francais) offers
instruction for children starting at 3 years of age. There are also
numerous "day care" facilities as well as babysitters. If you wish to use
the any of the day-care facilities, we highly recommend making
reservations as soon as you have booked your vacation with us (we can send
you a list of facilities and help you communicate the language barrier
comes in the way).
Of course lessons are available to everyone using one of the 7 ski
schools on site. Here again we can help you book either individual or
group lessons. Lessons in English are available.

Hotel
The hotels we have selected are *** properties.
Hotel rooms are based on double occupancy. Your hotel is located
by the slopes with very little or no walking before you can "get
into action". Breakfast and diner on property are included. This
option entitles you to use amenities which are not available when
renting apartments such as Sauna, Game room, fireplace, etc...
(the list of amenities is not exhaustive)
Apartments
You can rent an apartment located near the
slopes. Apartment occupancy is based on the number of people
indicated in our Rates section. These units have kitchen or
"kitchenettes"; you have the option of cooking as many or as few
of your meals as you wish or go out to one of the many
restaurants. These apartments "generally" offer a bit more room to
breath than hotel rooms.
As mentioned previously Restaurants abound. You will
find Lunch or Diner menus to satisfy your every taste and budget; from
Restaurants located on the slopes, to French. And best of all,
being in France; French restaurants are actually reasonable on
prices... no need to take out a second mortgage!
If you have decided to go for our Apartment Lodging Option, grocery
stores are well within walking distance. There is also a Regional
Specialty store which will advise on local produce. Most Restaurants
also offer carry-out if you do not wish to cook, yet want to stay in
and relax for the next day's skiing!
And if you are still up for it after a day of skiing, the Nightlife
goes on until 4:00AM. From Bowling, to Nightclub, to Pubs and Bars...
even a Tex-Mex place in case you get homesick and want a bowl of Chili!

These rates are weekly and per person based on the fact that everyone
in the apartment is also a skier. Rates can be custom based on your
particular needs number of people and arrival airport.
