Family Coverage: At no additional charge, the plan covers all children age 17
and under who are traveling with and related to the primary adult named on the
enrollment form. Offer does not apply to optional coverages.

Coverage against cruise line, airline or Tour Operator default (Financial default is not covered for all suppliers)

Additional Optional Coverage
NEW Cancel for Any Reason - The insurer will reimburse 50% of nonrefundable expenses if you
cancel your trip for any reason, up to 48 hours prior to your departure.
This coverage can only be purchased within 15 days of initial trip payment.

Umbrella package.......... Medical expense limits are doubled. Emergency medical transportation benefits upgraded to take you home

Flight Guard...................Coverage to $500,000 for accidental death or dismemberment that occur while flying

Car Rental Collision Coverage - $35,000 in primary coverage. Covers collision damage to a rental car for which the car rental contract would
hold you responsible. ($250 deductible applies)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q. What does this program cover for
cancellation?
A. The plan will reimburse the non-refundable, pre-paid payments or
deposits if you must cancel your trip for an unforeseen sickness, accidental
injury or death of you, your traveling companion, family member or business
partner, involuntary termination or layoff, required to work during the trip, unforeseen strike, traffic accidents, financial default of the travel
supplier, your principal residence or destination being made uninhabitable by
fire, flood, vandalism, burglary, or natural disaster, your being subpoenaed,
required to serve on a jury, hijacked or quarantined, military duty, and a
terrorist incident. Optional coverage can be purchased to cover you if you chose to Cancel For Any
Reason. For a complete list of covered reasons for cancellation, please refer to
the Description of Coverage (DOC).
Q. Will I be covered if I cancel my trip
for any reason?
A. Yes, if you purchase the ProtectAssist plan, and you purchase the
optional Cancel For Any Reason coverage all within 15 days of your initial trip
payment (limitations apply). See the Description of Coverages (DOC) for complete
details.
Q. What happens if a family member not
traveling becomes ill or passes away? Is this covered?
A. An illness or death of a family member not traveling with you may be
considered a covered reason for Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption
(conditions apply). The definition of family member is included in the
Description of Coverage (DOC).
Q. What is the Pre-Existing condition
waiver and how can I qualify?
A. The Pre-existing medical condition exclusion will be waived if: 1)
this plan is purchased within 15 calendar days of initial trip payment. This is
applicable to all coverages contained in the policy. 2) the amount of trip cost
insured must equal the full cost of all non-refundable trip arrangements. 3) the
cost of any subsequent arrangement(s) added to the same trip are insured
within 15 days of the date of payment or deposit for any subsequent trip
arrangement(s). 4) you are medically able to travel when you purchase this
coverage. For Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption coverage, the pre-existing
condition exclusion will be waived up to the first $30,000 of trip cost per
person.
Q. If I do not enroll within the 15
days, how long do you look back for Pre-Existing medical conditions?
A. 180 days preceding and including the coverage effective date.
Q. Can I cancel my trip for
work-related reasons?
A. Yes. For
a complete list of covered work-related reasons, please refer to the Description
of Coverage (DOC).
Q. Does this plan include medical
evacuation back home?
A. If you purchase the optional Umbrella Package with the base plan,
you upgrade your Emergency Medical Transportation coverage to include
transportation home or to the hospital of your choice for covered evacuations.
Q. Does everyone going on the trip
need to purchase the insurance to be covered?
A. Yes. The cost based on a per person trip cost, therefore each
individual is covered separately. However, with the Protect
Assist plan, children age 17 and under is covered at no additional cost for each
insured adult, but you must list them as a traveler and the child must be
related to the primary insured. Only those listed as travelers on the
enrollment form will be covered.
Q. How large of a trip can I cover?
A. With the ProtectAssist plan, you can insure trip costs up to
$100,000.
Q. How long do my bags need to be delayed
before I will be covered for baggage delay?
A. 24 hours or more.
Q. Will the plan reimburse for the single supplement if my traveling
companion cancels?
A. If a traveling companion cancels and you are held responsible for a
single supplement, you would be covered for the change in the per person
occupancy rate as long as the reason for the cancellation was covered under the
terms of the plan.
Q. I am 55 and my husband is 60, can we enroll for coverage under the
same plan?
A. Yes.
Q. When does the coverage begin?
A. The Trip Cancellation coverage begins at 12:01 am local time at the
location of the insured on the day after the Enrollment Form and payment is
received by Travel Guard. All other coverages will begin at 12:01 am local time
at the location of the insured on the scheduled trip departure date shown on the
Enrollment Form provided required payment has been received.
Q. How do I file a claim?
A. To file a claim, you can call Travel Guard between the hours of 7:00
am and 7:00 pm Central Time and start the process with a Claims Analyst. The
analyst will explain what needs to be provided to process your claim. The form
will then be faxed or mailed to you to provide that information.
Q. What if I want a refund?
A. Travel Guard is committed to providing products and services that
will exceed expectations. If You are not completely satisfied, You can receive a
refund provided 1) it is not past the original departure date; 2) you have not
submitted a claim; and 3) requests must be submitted to Travel Guard in writing
within 15 days of the effective date of your coverage. If past 15 days, premium
and service fees are non-refundable.
