"Polka Dot Alsace, Alps" Package

July 16th to July 19th (after stage finish)

This trip covers the stages in the Alsace region as well as the mountain top finish in Verbier!

You will see the Tour from the inside. When we mean VIP access, we mean visit of the Press rooms, Technical Zones, visits guided by a representative of the Tour de France organization, visit of the Riders Zone, meeting personalities that have marked the Tour (former Tour winners, personalities, etc...).

You will also be able to ride a good portion of stage #15 on July 19th, just a few short hours before the Yellow Jersey and the peloton. This experience will include sag-wagon by our own accredited, on-course vans, being escorted by an official Tour de France vehicle over the final few kilometers, crossing of the actual finish line and pictures of yourself on the official Tour de France Podium.

With VIP access on the 17th, 18th and 19th, there will be preferred access to the Tour de France every day.

You've dreamed of it; Can you stand not to be part of it?

Please read below for day by day description of the trip.

This trip is open to cyclist as well as those who prefer not to ride and restricted to 14 people to preserve its exclusive character.

- July 16th -

Hotel location: Alsace Wine region

We will be picking-up at Strasbourg train station at 3:00pm and Strasbourg airport at 3:30PM. If this pick-up time/location does not work for you, you can contact us to see how we might be able to arrange for a different time/location. From Strasbourg, we will head South to the hear of the Alsacian wine country and our first hotel.

Our first hotel is set in a very picturesque village just outside of Colmar. After checking in (for the firs couple of nights of this trip), those riding will assemble bikes, our mechanic will be on hand to assist you if a bit of help is needed. A short ride to make sure everything is in proper working condition will follow.

It will then be time to get together over a welcome toast, do proper introductions and go over the next few day's fun and action... of course a gourmet dinner will follow!

- July 17th -

Hotel location: Alsace Wine region

Tour Stage 13  /   Vittel  - Colmar  /  200km (125 miles)

The pro peloton is making its way through the Vosges Mountains today.

Our longest ride (100km) will leave from the hotel and intercept the course itinerary in Munster to finish just shy of Colmar - riding 65km on course. A shorter option of 50km is possible while still leaving from the hotel. Both rides will end in the same Alsacian village where we will enjoy lunch and change into "civilian outfit".

Those who prefer not to ride will encounter many of the region's sites along the way such as Kaysersberg or Munster.

We will then drive the few remaining kms on course to arrive in Colmar  where will will be granted access the exclusive VIP Izoard hospitality area overlooking the finish line.

Here hostesses will serve drinks and snacks while watching the live broadcast on Big Screen and TV. After seeing the stage finish from this exclusive viewing area champagne will be served to celebrate the stage winner.
The Izoard bus is among the more exclusive areas at stage finishes and you should expect to see/meet plenty of Tour celebrities.

- July 18th -

Hotel location: Gruyere

Tour Stage 14  /   Colmar  -  Besancon  /  199km (124 miles)

The peloton is riding a relatively flat stage today on the last "French" stage until the 21st of July as the race heads into Switzerland and Italy over the next few days.

We'll be leaving France ourselves today but before we do so, however, we will be treated to the "start Village" in Colmar. This village should open around 10:00am or so, so we will have a bit of time before making the short drive over this morning.

In Colmar, we will be greeted by an ASO representative who will show us around the area and explain how things work. Thanks to our passes, we will access the rider's area, meet some of the racers, see them warm-up, meet Directeurs Sportif, personalities, possible visit of team bus, etc. Tour starts are often a favorite part of our trips as the interaction with the riders/teams is unparalleled.

Once the peloton is off, we will do our own ride and the strongest riders will have the opportunity to ride a stunning (yet challenging) road through the Vosges mountains. This ride includes 2 of the regions great climbs; the Grand Ballon and Ballon d'Alsace.

We will then cross the border and venture into Switzerland for our overnight.

Ballon d'Alsace

- July 19th -

Tour Stage 15  /   Pontarlier  -  Verbier (CH)  /  207km (129 miles)

With a rest day coming tomorrow, riders won't be holding back to try to gain time on their opponents on the final climb up to the plush ski resort of Verbier. Will one man be able to create a sizeable time difference? Will it be one of the main GC contenders or will a "pure climber" be able to create enough time difference to have a chance at Yellow in Paris? Who will be first to cross the finish line today?

The answer is... YOU!!!

If you've ever had the dream of riding a Tour de France stage along roads filled with spectators and raise your arms to the sky as you cross the finish-line, today is the day it comes true.!

Our hotel is located, near the course. Those who wish to ride the longer distance on this trip will be able to ride the final 100km on course today going over the:

Col des Mosses - 13.8km climb @ 4 % avg
Verbier - 8,8 km climb @ 7,1 % avg

Custom Getaways vehicles with on-course accreditation will be accompanying you and providing an extra lift if necessary, and an official Tour de France vehicle will escort us over the final few kms of the course. You will cross the finish line on closed roads just a couple of hours or so before the Peloton.

Once this ride of a lifetime is complete, you will be invited to climb the official podium where we will take souvenir pictures. Those not riding will be driven over the final kms, will enjoy the excitement of the climb, climb the podium, etc.

We'll be directly overlooking the finish line to see how the pros stack up as we will have special access to the "Bulle Mangeas". Daniel Mangeas is the French commentator for the Tour de France ("La voix du Tour").

In the evening we will transfer you to Geneva for the end of the trip. Our arrival time
