July
18th
The serious Alpine stages start
today for the racers. On the menu today ; col d'Izoard - col du Lautaret
and Alpe d'Huez.
This is an exciting day and a big
traffic day; we will give you an excellent trick to avoid most of it and
still be at the top of Alpe d'Huez if you wish.

Col du Glandon |
July
19th
You'll have the option of viewing the race in many places, including the
start in Bourg d'Oisans. Other options include: col de la
Croix de Fer, col du Glandon... so many places make for good
viewing today!
Your evening will then be spent
in Morzine; perfect location for the arrival of tomorrow's stage.
|
 |
 |
July 20h Once again, there are a couple of
viewing options to choose from. We'll give you tips for each and reasons
why to pick one over the other. These include, the arrival in Morzine or the terrible col de la Joux Plane!
Your evening will be spent just outside Geneva.

 |
 |
 |
July 21st
Once again, given the hotel location, you'll have the choice of several
viewing areas. You may also want to skip Tour Viewing and discover the
beautiful Burgundy region as you will be spending the next 2 evenings in a
4 star hotel in wonderful Beaune.
|
 |
 |
July 22nd The final and
possibly quite important time trial will likely start around late morning
and you should plan on spending the better part of the day at the time trial.
Those who prefer may want to visit the Burgundy wine region instead...
we'll make sure to give you all the options.

July 23rd This is what every professional cyclist aspires to; the arrival of the
Tour de France on the Champs-Elysees!
Who will succeed to
lance Armstrong? Will it be one of the favorites - Ullrich, Basso,
Vinokourov, etc, or will someone else have the honor? You will find out
as you watch the arrival on the Champs-Elysees. The race goes up
and down the Avenue 10 times. There are also points to be
earned
for the green jersey... But first, a morning bullet train will
take you from Dijon to Paris.
Once the Tour
festivities are over, you will get ready for a great dining experience.
This year again we will be renting an entire boat for our
dinner-cruise along the Seine river. Great food and unbelievable
sight-seeing of Paris by night will end your “sensory overloaded
day”!!! |
